Troubleshooting

Quick reference for things that can go wrong mid-shift. If it's not here and it's urgent, call Billy or Harrison.

This page is a stub — content gets added as issues come up

See something break, get it fixed, then write down the fix here so the next person doesn't have to figure it out from scratch.

Espresso machine

To be added — common dial-in issues, no-water, no-pressure, etc.

Grinders

POS (SpotOn)

To be added — common register issues, offline mode, payment retries.

Refrigeration

To be added — what to do if the Grab & Go is warm, freezer issues, temp log out of range.

Out of something

If you run out of a critical item mid-shift:

  • Pastries: note on bulletin board, mark out-of-stock in SpotOn
  • Milk / dairy: check undercounter, then back fridge; if truly out, call Billy
  • Cups, lids, sleeves: check fulfillment room; restock from there
  • Coffee beans: see Suppliers & contacts

Customer issues

  • Refunds: managers only; see Cash handling
  • Complaints: be kind, take notes, escalate to manager on duty
  • Allergens: if you don't know, say you don't know — check the bag/label
